YOUR GUT ISN’T DRAMATIC . THE EPA IS
We’re breaking down forever chemicals, corporate nonsense, and why your bloating isn’t necessarily your fault, with science, sass, and zero apologies.
GROWTH AND COURAGE

Your gut is doing calculus.
The EPA is doing… whatever the opposite of math is.
And now, because the universe apparently thinks we’re bored, the EPA just approved another forever-chemical pesticide. The second one in two weeks, according to the Center for Biological Diversity (Nov 20, 2025).
Yes, you read that right: more PFAS on food.
Because obviously children, bees, soil, and water weren’t struggling enough.
Let’s break this down like we’re five, because apparently the federal government needs that level of clarity.
WHAT ARE “FOREVER CHEMICALS” (PFAS)?
Imagine glitter but toxic, Impossible to get rid of and somehow sprinkled on your food without permission.
PFAS don’t break down. Not in your body. Not in soil. Not in water. Not in a million years.
They just vibe… forever.
Hence the name.
Companies love them because they make things “non-stick” and “resistant to everything,” including common sense.
WHY IS EPA APPROVING MORE OF THEM?
Simple:
Because corporations with money want it that way.
PFAS makes pesticides “spread better” on crops.
Do regulators care that it:
harms children’s development,
damages organs,
destroys pollinators,
contaminates groundwater,
and sticks around longer than your ex’s hoodie?
Apparently not enough.
So while parents are out here cutting grapes in half and reading labels like they’re ancient prophecies, the EPA is like:
“Sure, here’s some toxicity that never dies. Enjoy.”
YOUR GUT + FOREVER CHEMICALS = A BAD TIME
Your gut is already juggling:
stress
sleep deprivation
blood sugar swings
emotional labor
inflation
and the entire family’s calendars
And now PFAS shows up like an uninvited raccoon breaking into the party.
PFAS disrupts:
hormone signaling
immune function
gut bacteria
detox pathways
the actual lining of your intestines
It’s like handing your gut a flaming bowling ball and saying, “Good luck!”
THIS ISN’T YOUR GUT’S FAULT, IT’S THE SYSTEM
Women are told to:
“Fix your bloating.”
“Eat cleaner.”
“Take these supplements.”
“Matcha is healing.”
“Optimize your gut.”
Meanwhile the EPA is rubber-stamping forever chemicals on crops like it’s a clearance sale.
Your gut isn’t the one failing.
The system is.
SO… WHAT DO WE DO?
(aka Your absolutely necessary Call To Action)
Here’s the part where we stop doom-scrolling and start using our collective chaos energy for something productive.
Because if the EPA won’t protect us, then we protect us.
1. Demand a PFAS Ban in Pesticides
Call or email your representatives.
It doesn’t need to be Shakespeare.
“I’m a constituent and I want PFAS pesticides banned” is enough.
2. Support the Groups Fighting This BS
The real heroes:
Center for Biological Diversity
Environmental Working Group
NRDC
Beyond Pesticides
They’re suing, petitioning, and making noise.
3. Choose PFAS-Free Options When It’s Accessible
No shame — access is political.
But when possible, go for:
ceramic or cast iron instead of non-stick
fewer grease-proof packaged foods
produce from farms avoiding PFAS sprays
4. Vote Like Your Water Depends On It
Because it actually does.
5. Talk About It
Awareness isn’t woo-woo.
It’s strategy.
Conversation spreads faster than PFAS, thankfully.
Your gut isn’t broken.
It’s overwhelmed by a system that keeps asking it to digest food, stress, and… poison.
Punk wellness isn’t about perfection, it’s about refusing to accept a toxic status quo and choosing nourishment, community, and lawful rebellion.
So here’s your call to action:
Make noise. Share this. Demand better.
Because “forever chemicals” don’t belong in our food, our kids, or our freaking planet and we deserve better than an EPA that acts like a corporate badlord (lowkey they are).
Grab your coffee.
Let’s raise hell gently.
